Continuous Operation and High Efficiency

At the heart of the SRXC-Series is a meticulously designed fractionating column, incorporating a reflux stream that enables the separation of materials in a continuous operation.

This system maintains a consistent flow rate ranging from 25 to 5000 gallons per hour (gph), operating seamlessly 24 hours a day.

Intelligent Control and Safety Features

SRS Engineering has equipped the distillation/fractionation columns with a sophisticated programmable logic controller (PLC), securely housed within a NEMA 4X enclosure.

This PLC can also be remotely located in a customer’s control room for added convenience. It diligently monitors a network of relays and sensors, ensuring optimal liquid levels, flow rates, and temperatures, as well as the correct positioning of discharge valves before initiating the distillation cycle.

In the event of any fault condition, the system is designed to provide clear, actionable status messages on its touch screen control panel. This feature not only enhances operator safety but also simplifies the operational process.

The system is programmed to automatically shut down in case of any fault detection or upon completion of the cycle, ensuring maximum safety and efficiency.

Customization and High-Performance Components

To meet the diverse throughput demands of various applications, the SRXC-Series Columns are customizable with specific column fittings and fractionating packing. They are also equipped with high-efficiency heaters and heat exchangers.

These columns are versatile in their heating requirements, being compatible with hot oil, steam, and in certain cases, electric heaters.
