Why chose SRS Designed Equipment Aerosol Crushing and punching systems

Aerosol Crushing and punching systems

Aerosol Recycling equipment is a puncture and shredding device requiring minimal maintenance while allowing users to convert spent aerosols into recyclable steel containers aerosol can recovery equipment units provide users with safe disposal methods of hazardous aerosol spray cans.

A verity of manufacturing industries utilizes aerosol cans for tough up paints to Foaming sealant. What happens to an aerosol can after it has reached its useful life. They are sent off to landfill or recycling facility. The cans contain a liquid hazardous waste that are still pressurized and are potentially could explode well left out in the sun at landfills.

Companies can with large volumes now can utilizes the automatic aerosol can crusher. They would load the cans in SRS aerosol can recovery equipment hopper and shred and puncture the Pressurized cans

The unique design that accepts a variety of aerosol can and 1 Gallon pails or metal containers of similar sizes The ASU units are set up to automatically run the aerosol cans or pails through and separates the meatal and plastic from the liquids that drop out. Every unit is built for safety in mind for the equipment and operators that will be around the units. Hazardous locations each unit is set up to meet the requirements.

The aerosol cans when shredded/crushed and punctured releases VOC that SRS captures through Activated carbon beds. Customer can also send the VOC to their thermal oxidizer if they have one. Each unit is set up that the customer can add to the heavy industrial aerosol shredding unit their own nitrogen tanks or can also order a nitrogen generator that is offered with the unit.

Step by step operations of industrial aerosol unit.

  1. Activate and open pneumatic lid cylinder. Once opened load ½ to 2 Cubic yards of aerosol cans Depending on modals can run 20-500 Cans per load.
  2. Close pneumatic operated lid cylinder. that now activates lid safety closed sensor. Operator selects the start Push button to activate the shredder.
  3. All functions automatically run its cycles. First cycle of operation is reversing the shredding teeth to ensure that nothing was left in system that would jam the teeth. Then it stops and start the shredder in forward cycle. Second operations that starts is the vacuum blower to remove any vapors that could be in system. The third cycle is the nitrogen purge starts pushing in the system and exhausting out through the vacuum blower. The fourth discharge pump activates to make sure once liquids are dropped out of cans that it is picked up and transferred to customers holding tank. Last is auger removal that start to remove the shredded and depressurized aerosol can metals and plastics sent through the system.

Economical –The (ASU) aerosol Recycling unit high production output disposal system. It processes from 40 to 400 cans at one time. The large capacity carbon media in activated carbon beds or drums can be recharged once spent. This captures the VOC that escape from the aerosol can once it has been punctured or depressurized.

This revolutionary engineered design.

Safe – The aerosol reduction equipment has many safeties included with unit. Fail closed pneumatic actuated valves that close automatically when power or air pressure is lost. There is air pressure safety switch that that is air pressure is to low that unit faults and shuts down so valves and purge system is operation correctly. Each unit also comes with nitrogen control system, this has a solenoid valve/mechanical metering flow valve/ N2 pressure safety switch that if customer inert gas drops down to low to operate unit it shut unit down tell it is resolved or customer replaces there N2 supply tanks. Lid safety closed switch will not allow the system to start if lid is not closed. There are many other safeties that are not in the PLC programming that are not seen.

Fully Hazardous location Compliant – The (ASU) aerosol can puncture and shredding machine is compliant to be used with hazardous aerosols cans. All electrical is built for Hazardous locations and is compliant with any location around the world. SRS designed each ASU unit to be electrical compliant for the area or country it is being sent to. Units can be built for (ATEX/CE/IEC/NEC-CEC) Other compliances are available based on country unit is being sent to.

Rugged – Manufactured with the best materials to ensure that long life of unit. Support framing of heavy wall Square steel tubing. Hopper made of Heavy wall 304 Stainless steel. Harden shredding teeth to add to life of shredder system. Stainless steel metal auger system to remove shredded metals. Installed parts over engineered to ensure years of operations with min or low maintenance costs.
